FIVE TIPS TO HAVE THE PERFECT HASSLE-FREE HOLIDAY

Holidays are the perfect escape from our modern, stressful life. As our daily lives become more and more convoluted with our workloads, we need some time for ourselves to take a breath of fresh air. And what better way can there be than going for a vacation, to achieve just that? A vacation rejuvenates our minds and bodies and keeps us sane in this postmodern world. However, to truly enjoy a perfect vacation which will relieve you from your daily stress, you need to plan your vacation in a way so that you don’t face any hassles during your trip. Here are five tips to help you plan your vacation in a hassle-free manner.

1. Plan extensively

There is no alternative to extensive planning if you want your vacation to be hassle-free. Plan a trip by searching online as much as you can, learn all about the culture and the destinations beforehand. Find out about the opening and closing times of the attractions you want to visit. Also, remember to check out the various modes of commute available, the prices of food and travel etc. before you go. Having a clear itinerary at your hand will surely make your trip a lot more smooth and flawless.

2. Get an appointment with your doctor before you travel

Falling in sick during your vacation days is probably the worst experience one can have during their holidays. Make sure you check-in with your doctor before you head out for a long vacation. If you are travelling abroad, make sure you have all the proper vaccinations.

3. Carry your own medicines

If you have any prescribed medicines which you need to take, then make sure you carry ample amount of them with you. Also, take emergency medicines like anti-diarrhoea medicines, painkillers or anti-allergen pills with you. Although you will get these medicines at any place, they most probably will have different names at a new place and language can be a barrier.

4. Learn some keywords in the local language

If you are travelling to a place which has a different language than yours, you should learn a few key phrases in the native tongue to help you in your travel days. Start with ‘hi’ and ‘goodbye’, as these two words will ease up conversations with the locals by a lot. Then learn to ask for directions and also how to say ‘how much’ in the native language. Learning these small things in the native language can make your trip much smoother.

5. Keep copies of your identification

If you are travelling abroad, then making some copies of your passport and keeping them with you can save you from a lot of trouble. That way, if your passport gets lost or stolen, you can still use your copies of passport as an identification proof, and they can help you to get back in your country as well. Even if you are travelling within your country, keeping a few copies of your photo-identification can come in handy in many situations.
