Sebring, Florida – Florida man got pissed with people in a grocery store for not wearing masks.
So he posted on Facebook that he would shoot up the store so the virus wouldn’t spread, authorities reported. According to the investigation, he didn’t identify which Publix store he was in.
Highlands County Sheriff arrested 62-year-old Robert Kovner on charges of making a written threat of a mass shooting.
An officer posted his comment on the same media platform, saying, “We realize these are stressful times, but there is no excuse for making threats like this. It’s not a joke, not just a bad day. It’s a crime. We will ALWAYS take them seriously, and you will go to jail”.
Florida Man April 16, 2020 – Arrested for Setting Someone on Fire
Hastings, Florida. – On April 16, a Florida man allegedly set someone on fire over an argument about money.
The Florida Times-Union stated that he was in critical condition in Gainesville’s hospital burn unit.
Police have accused Brian Terrence Connor, 35, of going into the victim’s house and starting the argument before the incident happened.
Connor allegedly poured a flammable liquid on the victim, set it on fire, and took off in his car.
The victim had to go to another apartment and ask for help to extinguish the fire.
There’s no lawyer listed for Connor. The state held him in St. John’s County Jail. He is facing attempted first-degree murder, arson, and burglary charges.
Florida Man April 16, 2017 – Drunk, Fried Some Chicken and Had A Vodka Drink in A Woman’s Kitchen
Alachua, Florida.- What else can a Florida man do if he is hungry and wants some drinks?
Florida man felt comfortable enough to go into a stranger’s home and make himself comfortable after having too many drinks.
First, he helped himself to a vodka drink. Next, the man decided to fry up some chicken, according to the police.
Samantha O’Neal, the owner, came home with her sister, Melissa Stanley, and found a drunk stranger in her kitchen on Wednesday night, WOFL reports.
“He was in here, drunk as a skunk, just being Betty Crocker,” O’Neal described 34-year-old Ronal Wesly when she arrived at her house.
She started screaming, and neighbors responded to help her and call the deputies.
“I just wanted him off the property, so I picked him up and threw him out the gate,” said O’Neal.
When officers arrived, Wesly was still walking around in the area. Police then arrested him on burglary and larceny charges.
O’Neal admitted that she is acquainted with Wesly. However, not nearly enough for him to enter her house unannounced.
She also complimented the fried chicken, “My buddy had eaten it. He said it was seasoned very well.”
